Finally decided between the granite countertop sample and the quartzite for my kitchen remodel
Went with the quartzite for its natural veining, and after sealing it myself, the installer said it looked better than half the jobs he sees from pros, lol.

Oh nice choice! Just a heads up though, quartzite doesn't actually need to be sealed like granite does, it's naturally non-porous. You might have sealed a different stone or maybe it's actually quartz, which is man-made. Either way, if it looks good that's all that matters, but you might have done some extra work for no reason, lol.

My cousin sealed her quartzite countertops for three years before a contractor told her it was pointless. She was so mad she made her husband redo the bathroom tile as a punishment project. Honestly, the sealing probably didn't hurt anything, but now she questions every home improvement tip she gets. It's created a whole thing in their house.
