Appreciation post: My old furnace finally gave out and I had to choose between a new glory hole or a new annealer

Went with the annealer because my old one couldn't hold temp for my larger pieces. It was a tough call, but consistent cooling won out over faster heating for now. Anyone else had to make a big equipment choice like that?

Oh my god, right? @the_izabeth, that choice is just... completely unhinged. I had a similar thing happen last month picking between a bulk order of industrial lube and a custom trophy. The guy on the phone was so casual about it. My brain just blue-screened for a solid hour trying to process the options.
