Question about those cheap graphite reamers from the online marketplace
Burned through $40 on one that snapped after two uses on a simple 25mm punty... the metal was just too brittle. Anyone found a decent budget brand that actually holds up?

I saw somewhere that some glassworkers swear by the ones from a brand called C.H. Hanson, but I've never tried them myself. Maybe worth looking into before you drop more cash on another dud.

Yeah, the metal on those is junk. You need to look for one that's made from high-speed steel, not that cheap cast stuff. The HSS ones cost a bit more upfront but they won't snap on you. I've had the same one for over a year now.
