Just realized my neighbor thinks handling glass without gloves is fine

I was installing a storefront window yesterday and my neighbor came by to chat. Ngl, he picked up a piece of glass with his bare hands and I had to quickly tell him to put it down. Now I'm concerned he might try to do his own glass projects unsafely. How have you guys handled similar situations with people who don't know the risks?

It's WILD how often people ignore safety gear. Your neighbor with the glass is a PERFECT example of that 'it won't happen to me' attitude. Makes you wonder what other risks they're taking CASUALLY.

Five years ago that same neighbor tried to cut a frozen bagel with a steak knife. Hugo_taylor is right, the "it won't happen to me" vibe is strong with that one. I'm just waiting to hear he tried to change a ceiling fan while standing on a rolling office chair. Some people just have a complete lack of a danger alarm.
