Update on that tricky curved glass shower door from my spring project
After three attempts with standard sealants, the bottom track kept weeping water onto the tile floor. I switched to a specific marine-grade silicone adhesive, the SikaFlex 291, and after letting it cure for a full 48 hours, the seal has been bone dry for over a month now. Has anyone else found a better product for wet-area curved glass applications?

Nice, that SikaFlex is serious stuff. Did you have to do any special prep on the track before you applied it, or just a real good clean?

Totally agree, and shane327 nailed the prep steps (did the same thing).

Yeah that SikaFlex is NO joke. You gotta do more than just clean it. I hit the track with a degreaser first, then a quick sand with some 80 grit to rough up the surface. Wipe it down with alcohol after to get rid of any dust. If you don't get it totally clean and rough, that stuff will just peel right off. Let it cure for a full day before you even think about driving on it.

I mean valp32 might be onto something though, sometimes you can over-prep and mess up the surface more than you help it.
