My car keys were in my pocket, then they were on the kitchen counter 200 miles away

This was about three weeks ago. I was at my friend's place in Portland, getting ready to drive home. I felt my keys in my right jacket pocket, I swear I did. I went to grab them five minutes later and they were gone. We tore the place apart. I had to get a ride home. When I walked into my kitchen in Eugene, my keys were sitting right in the middle of the counter, next to the fruit bowl. I live alone. I hadn't been home in two days. I'm stuck between two thoughts now. One side says it's just a weird memory thing, that I forgot I left them and my brain made up the pocket feeling. The other side says something actually glitched, like they fell through a hole in reality or something. The feeling in my pocket was so real though. Has anyone had something vanish and show up somewhere totally impossible like that?

You read one story about keys teleporting and suddenly it's a glitch in the matrix? Come on. I've misplaced my phone while it was in my hand before, doesn't mean I slipped through spacetime. People remember things wrong all the time, it's just how our brains work. The feeling in your pocket was probably just muscle memory from having them there earlier in the day. I once spent twenty minutes looking for my sunglasses only to find them on my own face, nobody called that a miracle. We just don't like admitting we spaced out, so we make it into something mysterious.

Honestly, happens all the time @emery_jackson29. Tbh you see a story and then find out it's just a copy of something way older. Makes you question everything you read online.
