My whole street lost power for exactly 17 minutes last Tuesday
Every single house on Maple Drive went dark at 3:14 PM. Not a flicker, just off. My neighbor, Karen, called the power company and they said there was no outage reported. Then, at 3:31 PM on the dot, everything came back on like nothing happened. The weird part? All our digital clocks were still set to the right time. Has anyone else had a short, unexplained blackout where the grid didn't even notice?

Used to brush off these little blips as nothing. That exact thing happened here last fall, clocks stayed right and the utility had no record. Makes you wonder what's tripping off a whole block without leaving a trace.

Right? It's so weird when that happens. My whole street went dark for maybe two minutes last winter, but my oven clock was still right on time. The power company swore nothing happened on their end. Makes you question what's really going on with the grid.

My buddy's apartment building had that happen. Every unit went dead for maybe ten minutes one afternoon. The super checked the main breaker and it hadn't tripped. All the microwaves and ovens just blinked like there was a quick reset, but the time was still perfect.
