That time my car radio played a station that didn't exist
I was driving home from work in Cincinnati about three years ago, taking my usual route. I turned on the radio to a classic rock station I listen to every day, but instead of music, it was a clear broadcast of a baseball game. The announcer gave the score as 4-2 in the bottom of the 8th. The weird part is, the station I was tuned to doesn't carry sports, and the game was for a team that wasn't playing that day. It lasted for maybe two minutes before it cut back to a song. I've never been able to find a station that matched that broadcast. Has anyone else picked up a phantom radio signal like that?

Wow, that's not just a weird radio blip. I swear technology glitches in these small, impossible ways way more than we talk about. It's like the universe has little pockets where the normal rules just... stop working for a minute.

My old car radio once played a polka station for three whole days.

That polka station for three days sounds like a solid upgrade, honestly. You might have gotten a preview of some alternate reality baseball game. Maybe the ghost of a radio tower just wanted to show you what you were missing.

Tbh that "pockets where normal rules stop" thing reminds me of an article about radio signals bouncing off the atmosphere. Could have just been some weird skip from a far away station.
