Update: I thought my friend was nuts about the whole 'time slip' thing until last Tuesday

He kept saying he saw a car from the 1950s at a modern gas station, and I just laughed it off. Then I saw a horse-drawn milk wagon on my street in Seattle, which hasn't had a delivery like that since my grandpa was a kid. What's the most normal thing you've seen that just felt completely out of place?

A horse-drawn milk wagon in Seattle is wild lol. My version of that was seeing a payphone last year, and I almost tried to check it for quarters. Guess time just leaves its weird stuff lying around.

Payphones are basically time capsules now.

Found a payphone near the downtown bus station a couple years back. Didn't have any change, but I stood there for a minute trying to picture it actually working. It felt like finding a museum exhibit just sitting on the sidewalk. I know what you mean about the impulse to check it though. My grandpa used to keep a roll of dimes in his glove box just for payphones. Same feeling probably when people see a milk wagon and wonder if they can still flag it down.

Bet you'd still find a dime in there.
