Cleaning out my old hard drive last week and found a folder from 3 years ago labeled 'inspiration' that was just 50 screenshots of Dribbble shots I never looked at again.

Oh man, that hits home. My "inspiration" folder is just a digital graveyard for my past self's ambition. I'll save something thinking it'll spark a genius project, then forget it exists until I'm desperately clearing space. It's like I'm hoarding pretty pictures just to feel like I'm doing something creative. The only thing it inspires now is a deep shame when I see the file count.

Been there. I started using a notes app to write down one actual idea from each shot I save now.

That "digital graveyard" feeling is so real. I had to force myself to stop just saving the picture. Now I make a rule: if I save an image, I have to write in a doc what about it caught my eye, like "the way the light hits the wall" or "this color combo." It turns the folder from a junk drawer into something I can actually search through later.

Started doing something similar but with a folder structure instead. I have a "color palettes" folder and a "lighting reference" folder and a "mood" folder. Now when I save something I have to pick which folder it goes into, makes the whole thing way less overwhelming when I'm looking for inspiration.
