Just switched from a black and white mood board to a full color one for a branding project

The client went from confused to instantly excited, all because they could actually see the palette. Has anyone else had a simple visual change make that big of a difference?

Had a client who couldn't picture a website layout from wireframes. Showed them one live homepage mockup with real text and a stock photo. The whole "I don't get it" look vanished in about two seconds. Sometimes you just need to show them the thing.

Yeah that's the real trick. Wireframes are for us, not for them. A picture really does make it click for most people.
