Dropped $300 on a fancy 'ergonomic' styling chair and it's the worst buy I've made this year
Honestly, the thing wobbles if a client shifts their weight even a little, and the armrests are set at this weird angle that makes precision work a nightmare. I got it from SalonCentric thinking it would help with my back during long color sessions, but I'm back to my old $90 basic chair after two weeks. Has anyone found a truly solid styling chair that doesn't cost a fortune?

Sounds like you got suckered by the marketing. Most of that ergonomic stuff is just fancy words to charge more. A chair just needs to be stable and comfortable, not solve world peace. Maybe check the floor where you put it, sometimes it's not the chair but an uneven spot.

Honestly stella22, I used to agree with the "just fancy words" take. Then I spent a year with a cheap chair that felt fine for an hour but wrecked my back over a full workday. My new one with actual lumbar support and adjustable arms is a totally different story. It's not about solving world peace, it's about not being in pain by 3 PM. The difference is real when you're sitting in it for 40 hours a week.

Tbh, did you try tightening all the bolts under the seat? Sometimes they ship loose. If it still wobbles after that, I'd just return it.
