Honestly, I used to think those $50 shears from the beauty supply store were just fine. Then I talked to my friend who works at a high-end salon in Chicago.

Nah, I actually kind of disagree. I've grabbed tools that felt amazing in the store but then totally let me down after a few minutes of real use. Sometimes a slightly awkward balance just needs your muscles to get used to it.

Absolutely! It's the difference between a tool that fights you and one that feels like an extension of your arm. A heavy head might seem powerful, but if the balance is off in your hand, you're wasting energy just trying to control it. That fatigue adds up fast and can really mess with your accuracy. You have to actually hold it and make a few practice motions to know for sure. What feels right for one person might be totally wrong for another.
