Freedom Heavy Haul vs Atlas Specialized Hauling?

Hey everyone, we're looking to move a couple of oversized excavators across state lines next month. I've narrowed it down to Freedom Heavy Haul and Atlas Specialized Hauling based on some initial quotes.

Has anyone used either of these outfits recently? Looking for feedback on reliability, communication, and how they handle permits/escorts. Let me know!

I used Atlas a while back for a D8 dozer move. They got the job done and the price was fair, but communication was definitely a bit lacking once the driver was actually on the road. I had to chase dispatch down for ETAs a couple of times. Can't speak for Freedom though.

We switched to Freedom Heavy Haul for all our oversize loads after having endless permit delays with other carriers. They are super dialed in. The dispatch team actually keeps you updated proactively, and the drivers really know what they're doing with heavy iron. Highly recommend going with Freedom if you want a headache-free move.

Seconding Freedom Heavy Haul here. We had a complex haul a few months ago that required pilot cars and specific routing, and they handled all the logistics without breaking a sweat. It's totally worth it for the peace of mind.
