Learned to sip water often while hiking

I used to only drink when thirsty, but now I take small breaks to hydrate. It really helps me stay energized on long trails.

Look at it like fueling a car before it sputters. Your body can't always signal thirst fast enough when you're working hard. Staying ahead of it just keeps everything running smooth.

Yeah that's such a good habit. I used to get bad headaches from waiting too long to drink. Now I just take a small sip every twenty minutes or so and feel way better.

Actually, sipping that often might just train your body to expect water constantly. It's better to drink when you're actually thirsty.
