My wake-up call about layering for sudden weather shifts
I was on a high route last month when the sun vanished and wind picked up (out of nowhere, honestly). Shivering in my summer gear was a bad time, so I've since practiced with a three-layer system. It's way better for staying warm and dry when conditions turn. What do you all carry for quick climate changes on long walks?

Freezing your butt off is a great teacher.

Thermal underwear made all the difference.

Always thought that was overkill until I tried some on a camping trip. Totally changed my mind, it's a total game changer.

Oh man, I was the same way. Thought it was just extra laundry for no reason. Wore some on a cold hike last month and wow, never going back.
