My workplace added nutrition labels... now there's tension.

They put up signs with facts like calories and sugar for all the snacks... A bunch of us think it's overkill and makes eating feel like a test, but others say it's responsible and helpful. Do you think offices should do this?

Did you see that news piece about how labeling food at work can backfire? It said for some folks, it just adds stress to their day... kind of like how @jessicam88 feels about the judgment. I heard another take that it's good info to have out there for people who need it. But slapping numbers on everything does seem over the top... makes a simple snack feel complicated. Maybe there's a middle ground where they promote healthy stuff without all the extra noise.

Listing calories and sugar for every snack seems extreme. Now every chip bag comes with a side of judgment.

Yeah I just glance at it sometimes but don't let it ruin my snack. Took a while to get there though.

Ugh, turning snacks into homework just kills the little joy left in the day.
