Rant: My camping trip in the desert destroyed my skincare groove

I went camping in Arizona for four days last week. The hot, dry wind and dust made my skin tight and itchy all over. I packed my moisturizer, but it felt like putting water on sand. Coming home, my face is red and rough, and it's taking forever to calm down.

Patricia, you nailed it! The desert is basically a skincare villain in disguise. My face revolted after a weekend in Nevada, with my usual lotion giving up instantly. The wind felt like it was stealing moisture right out of my skin. Returning to normal humidity was a total relief for my confused pores.
