The wood carving contest at our street fair got me back into my workshop
I entered a simple spoon carving contest last weekend and it was a blast. Now I'm planning more small projects to gift to neighbors. Do you ever do woodworking for local events?

What's your plan for figuring out what your neighbors would actually use? I gave out birdhouses once and some folks seemed unsure... it can be hard to guess what people really want before you put in the work.

Last year, I made simple cutting boards and everyone used them; have you asked your neighbors what they'd like?

That's a fair question from Brooke. When you gave out those cutting boards, did people seem genuinely happy to get them, or was it more polite thank-yous? Knowing that might help figure out what gifts actually land.
