Spent $60 on a ring light and it saved my morning status meeting

I finally caved and bought a ring light after weeks of looking like I was in a cave on video calls. It was about $60 on Amazon, nothing fancy. Now my face is actually visible and people stopped asking if I was tired. Has anyone else found a cheap piece of gear that fixed their worst Zoom problem?

Wait, $60 for a ring light? I found a basic one for like $25 on sale and it does the same thing - no more shadow face. You got ripped off unless that thing comes with some special features like built-in phone holder or adjustable color temps. Honestly, any cheap ring light beats that awful overhead kitchen light I was using before.
