A stranger at a hardware forum told me my wire strippers were trash
They said I was wasting time with those cheap self-adjusting ones, so I dropped $45 on a pair of Knipex and now I'm flying through jobs at the shop. Anyone else get called out on a tool you thought was fine?

Three years ago I would've argued cheap strippers were fine, now I get it.

It's funny how getting older just makes you realize that paying a little more for quality in anything is usually worth it in the long run. There's a pattern with everything from tools to takeout where going cheap just costs you more time or frustration later.
