Found a weird bug in my AI image generator after 2000 generations

I was making product mockups for a client in Chicago and suddenly my AI started adding extra fingers to every hand in the output. Turns out a recent model update messed with the latent space mapping for hand coordinates. Has anyone else had this issue with their local stable diffusion setup?

haha yeah I had the exact same thing happen with my local SD setup last month except it was giving people three elbows per arm. Real useful for that client who wanted "natural looking" product photos. I swear these model updates are like playing roulette with your generations, you never know which body part is gonna get messed up next. My running joke is that I'm just training AI to draw like I do in real life, which is also terrible at hands.

Oh come on, three elbows is just you messing up the prompt. The models are bad but they're not that bad unless you're feeding it some wild negative prompts. I've been running SD for a while and the only time I got extra joints was when I tried to force a specific pose without proper reference images. The real issue is hands and feet, everyone knows that. You can fix weird arm counts with a quick inpaint, but those hands? They're gonna look like someone melted a starfish and glued it to a wrist.

That starfish description is way too accurate, had a foot come out looking like a melted flip-flop last week.
