Someone on a marketing subreddit told me my image descriptions sounded too robotic and lacked personality. I started tweaking the prompt to say 'write like a friendly human, not a Wikipedia article' and my engagement shot up 30% in two weeks. It's wild how much that one thing "write like a friendly human" can unlock. I think the real trick is realizing these tools are basically mirrors for how we talk to them. If you feed it robotic prompts you get robotic output. But once you start talking to it like you'd talk to a coworker or a friend the whole thing shifts. I see this everywhere now not just with AI stuff. People send emails or texts that sound like they're written by a bot because they're trying so hard to be professional. But the stuff that actually connects with people is always the stuff with some voice and flaws in it. That 30% jump makes total sense to me. People can smell a lack of personality from a mile away.

Yeah totally, that "write like a friendly human" trick is gold. I had a similar thing where I was getting stiff product descriptions and just added "make it sound like you're explaining this to your neighbor over the fence" and the difference was night and day.
