My sous chef told me he used a new AI tool to predict our dinner rush last Friday and it was spot on.
He showed me the app on his phone, which analyzed our past sales and local events, and it predicted we'd sell 47 specials, which we exactly did, making me wonder if this kind of thing is going to change kitchens for good or just add more screens to stare at.

Yeah, that's wild... my buddy at the food truck downtown tried one of those apps last month. It told him to double his usual prep for a college football game day he totally forgot about... saved his butt from running out of everything by noon. It does feel like just another screen to manage, but if it stops you from getting slammed or wasting food, it's hard to argue. I just hope it helps with the guesswork instead of making us rely on it too much.

That "another screen to manage" feeling is real, @olivert78, but the data can really cut down on the stress.

Honestly that "stop the guesswork" thing is everywhere now, from traffic apps to weather alerts.
