Took me 5 hours to get a simple AI image generator to output a dog that wasn't a cat
I needed a picture of a golden retriever for a flyer last Tuesday, and this AI tool kept giving me cats no matter how I wrote the prompt. I tried 'golden retriever' four times, added 'dog breed' and even specified 'no cats' in brackets, but it still took me 5 hours of tweaking before I got one decent image. Has anyone else run into this weird bias where AI models just ignore basic instructions like that?

Well I read somewhere that these image generators get tripped up on breeds because their training data has so many more pictures of cats than dogs, so they default to cat mode unless you really hammer home the specifics. It's frustrating but at least you finally got your golden retriever after all that work.

Try barking at the screen next time, it might help the AI understand.

30 seconds of silence usually works better than anything you can type, @flores.emma. I just wait and let the AI catch up on its own. Barking might get you banned though, so I'd stick with patience.
