Had to pick between silicone basket liners and parchment paper for my air fryer
Tbh I was struggling with cleanup on my air fryer after making chicken wings last week in Austin. The grease just baked onto the basket and I spent forever scrubbing. So I tried those silicone liners from Amazon, the flexible ones with holes. Honestly they worked okay for fries but when I used them for breaded shrimp they held moisture underneath and made the breading soggy on the bottom. Then I switched to precut parchment paper rounds with holes. Ngl the parchment crisped everything way better and cleanup took like 10 seconds. But I did have a scare where the paper lifted up and touched the heating element on top. Has anyone else dealt with this issue with parchment paper lifting up during cooking?
My silicone liners actually warped after a few uses and started smoking, which was terrifying. Maybe try weighing down the parchment with a metal trivet or something oven safe on top, that kept mine from floating into the heating element.
