I finally had to pick between frozen fries and fresh potatoes for my air fryer

I wanted crispy fries but was short on time, so I grabbed a bag of frozen ones instead of cutting up fresh russets. They came out okay, but I'm wondering if the extra 15 minutes for fresh is actually worth it. What do you all think gives the best crunch?

What's the point of an air fryer if you don't use fresh potatoes?

Tbh the point is having a quick, easy dinner ready in 15 minutes. Fresh potatoes take forever to cut and soak. Frozen ones still get crispy and save a ton of time.
