I finally tried frozen chicken wings in the air fryer and wow

Was super skeptical about frozen wings being any good compared to fresh. Tossed a bag of Tyson wings in at 380 for 25 mins and they came out crispy as hell, no oil needed. Anyone else had way better luck with frozen stuff than you expected?

No oil needed though? That's wild... I always figured frozen wings would just steam and turn into a soggy mess. Maybe I been sleeping on the air fryer this whole time.

Nah, see I gotta disagree a little. I've been air frying frozen wings for a couple years now and I never add oil. The key is you gotta shake the basket halfway through, that's what gets the moisture off and lets them crisp. If they're still soggy it's probably cause you're overcrowding the basket or your temp's too low. I do 400 for about 18 minutes and they come out crunchy every time. But I get what you're saying about pre-battered ones being different, those are basically already fried before they hit your freezer.

no oil needed" - I mean, that really depends on the wings. Some frozen brands are already pre-battered or seasoned with oil so they crisp up fine. I tried some generic store brand ones and they came out dry as hell without a little spray, lol. So yeah, not all frozen wings are created equal.
