I spent $60 on a silicone air fryer liner and it either saved my bacon or ruined my crisp factor

My fries come out soft and soggy since I started using it, but cleanup is way faster, so is a nonstick basket worth the trade off or should I go back to bare metal and deal with the scrubbing?

Hear you on the tradeoff... but have you tried lowering the temp by 25 degrees with the liner in? The silicone traps more heat and moisture than bare metal, so your fries are basically steaming instead of crisping. That might get you closer to the best of both worlds without giving up the easy cleanup. I went through this same thing last month and dialing back the temp was the only thing that worked for me. What temp are you running yours at now?

Totally changed my mind, @david_reed22. Dropping the temp 25 degrees right now.

Wait, do you keep the liner in when lowering the temp?
