I was sure air fryer salmon would be a dry disaster...
Everyone kept posting about it, but I avoided it for months thinking it would ruin good fish. I finally tried a 6-ounce fillet at 400 degrees for 8 minutes last week, and it was perfectly flaky and moist. Has anyone else had a food they were totally wrong about in the air fryer?

What took me longer, trying air fryer salmon or figuring out how to use all the buttons on the thing? I was the same, totally convinced I'd get fish jerky. Now I'm over here making single servings of weird stuff just to see what happens, like a sad science experiment. My latest win was reheating pizza rolls without them turning into lava bombs.

Okay but the fan is the whole point! That's what makes it cook faster and crisp things up way better than my old toaster oven ever did. It's not magic, but it's a solid upgrade.

Honestly it's just a small oven with a fan. The hype makes it sound like magic, but it's just cooking food with hot air. People act like it changed their life for a basic salmon fillet.

My friend's mom swears it's just for frozen fries, but she used it for chicken thighs last week and was shocked. Rodriguez.mia is right about the fan making a real difference for crispy skin.
