Had to do this last week. Used a sharpie on the oven door glass. Made a little tally chart. Wiped it off when I was done. Kept me from losing track completely.

Seriously? That sounds like a huge mess waiting to happen. Sharpie can stain glass permanently if you leave it on too long, even if you think it'll wipe off. I'm with @roberth66 on this one, just count the batches. It's not that hard to remember a number. You're creating extra work and risking your oven door for no real reason.
