My sister called my air fryer a glorified toaster oven, now I'm doubting my chicken

She visited last Sunday and watched me make crispy wings at 380 for 25 minutes, then said her toaster oven does the same thing for half the price. It hit different because she brought up the fan speed and moisture difference, stuff I never thought about. Is the air fryer actually worth the counter space, or are we all just paying for marketing?
