So my air fryer basically saved Thanksgiving after the oven died...
The main oven just quit, right as the turkey was supposed to go in. Total panic. I ended up cooking the entire 14-pound bird in my air fryer... in pieces. Did the breasts first, then the legs and thighs. It took like three batches and over two hours, but it actually worked? The skin got so crispy, everyone said it was the best they'd ever had. Never been so stressed and then so relieved by an appliance. Has anyone else had to do a major holiday meal rescue with just an air fryer? What did you make?

That "adding more cheese on top for the second round" is genius. Makes me wonder if an air fryer could actually do a whole lasagna, layer by layer.

My sister's power went out last Christmas Eve, right as she was starting her scalloped potatoes. She brought the whole uncooked dish over to my place, and my little four-quart air fryer was the only thing free. We did it in two layers, adding more cheese on top for the second round. It took forever, but it saved the side dish.
