Switched from parchment paper to foil liners and never looked back

I used parchment paper for air frying for about 6 months but it kept blowing up and touching the heating element. My buddy at the shop told me to try the foil liners with holes, and after 3 batches of wings I was sold. Anyone else find one liner type works way better than the other?

Read somewhere that foil liners let the air circulate way better than paper does.

That bit about "air circulating way better" is interesting... it's one of those little details that ends up making a bigger difference than you'd think. I've noticed a pattern where people assume paper is the standard, but once you start paying attention to how things actually work in practice, the simple swaps like foil versus paper are everywhere. It's like the difference between using a mesh bag for groceries versus a solid plastic one, little choices about airflow and moisture that add up. Just goes to show how often the obvious answer isn't the best one when you look closer.

That "obvious answer isn't the best one" part really hits home. It's wild how much better things work when you actually test them instead of just assuming.
