TIL my air fryer at a Super Bowl party in Phoenix saved me from crying in the bathroom
Last February I was at my sister's place in Phoenix for the Super Bowl and she has one of those tiny kitchens where everyone crowds in. I brought my air fryer because she has zero counter space left from her Instant Pot collection, and I figured I'd just make wings in it on the patio. Showed up with 4 pounds of wings and a bottle of Frank's, and within 25 minutes I had crispy wings while her oven batch was still raw in the middle. Her husband, who has roasted me for 3 years about my "toy oven," ate like 9 of them and went dead quiet. Someone asked what my temp and time was and I said 380 for 22 minutes, shake halfway, and it hit me that I've been doing wings this way since 2021 and never once went back. The next week I broke my own rule and air fried frozen chicken thighs straight from the bag at 400 for 18 minutes and they came out stupid good with zero thawing. So what's the actual best thing you've made in yours at a party where people were judging you? I need new ideas before summer cookouts start.
never once went back" is the whole thing right there, we all got that one kitchen gadget that quietly replaced a thing we swore by for years and nobody admits it out loud. I do pizza rolls in mine at 400 for 8 minutes and they beat the oven every single time, so now the oven is basically a bread box.
