Our hangar's turnaround time dropped from 3 days to 1 after we swapped the old paperwork flow, and I'm still surprised
Six months ago at our shop outside Wichita, a routine annual on a Cessna 172 meant chasing paper squawk sheets around the hangar and re-writing the same notes three times. Our lead started using digital work cards on cheap tablets back in March, and the same job now closes out in a day instead of three. The real difference was the shift handoff. Guys stopped missing sign-offs because the card updated live and showed who touched what. Is anyone else running tablets on the floor? I want to hear what kind of mounts hold up to a greasy thumb and a dropped wrench.
