Question about using a dental pick to clean out old grease from wheel bearings on a 737
I tried using a dental pick last week to get the packed grease out of the inner bearing race on a 737 wheel and it worked way better than my normal scraper, has anyone else found weird tools that do a better job than the standard stuff?

Makeup brushes? aaron880 was right, that's wild.

Bet that dental pick was originally designed for scraping plaque off teeth, not grease off bearings. Next thing you know, people will be using makeup brushes for engine work. Just don't tell the FAA you found it in a toolbox next to the wrenches.
