That 25-year vet changed my mind about torque wrenches
Heard an old guy at the hangar in Tulsa say he never trusts digital torque after his Snap-on displayed 20 ft-lbs when it clicked at 32, went back to my beam type the next day, anyone else still use the old ones?

Man, that story makes me want to check my own beam wrench right now, but knowing me I'd probably strip the bolt trying to prove a point. My first torque wrench was a hand-me-down beam type that my dad used on tractors, and honestly I still trust it more than my fancy digital one. The digital one sits in the drawer like a trophy while the old beam gets the real work done. Once had the digital read 10 off on a lug nut and I almost launched a wheel into a ditch, so yeah, I get the skepticism. Guess I'm just too stubborn to learn new tricks when the old ones haven't let me down yet.
