That $400 torque wrench I bought off a guy at the airport - total scam

I gave some dude 400 bucks cash for a supposed Snap-on digital torque wrench he claimed fell off a truck. Got back to the hangar and it was off by 18 foot-pounds on the low end, basically useless. Anyone else get burned buying tools from sketchy sources at the FBO?

Had a guy on one of my crews years ago who stepped off the back of a flatbed trailer at a job site, but the ground was a good foot lower than he expected. Rolled his ankle so bad he was out for two months. The safety guy chewed us out for not having a proper loading dock, but the truth is we just got careless. @quinn161 is right about lessons like that sticking with you. Funny how one moment of not paying attention can cost you weeks of recovery time.
