Vent: My old way of checking sealant was wasting my time
I used to think reapplying sealant by eye was good enough for panel gaps. A leak test on a recent repair job showed me how wrong I was. How do you guys make sure sealant jobs hold up right?
Man, my old method was basically "if it looks good from three feet away while squinting, send it." My wake up call was a leak check where it failed so bad it looked like I was trying to water the inside of the panel. I had to swallow my pride and admit I'd been pretty dumb about it. Learning the hard way seems to be the only way it sticks for me.
