Was wrong about using oil on torque wrenches until a compressor line blew on me at O'Hare last week

Three weeks and a new Snap-on later. Oil attracts grit and gums up the internal mechanism. Just use a dry torque wrench and thank me later.

Never really gave it much thought before. Used to oil mine after every job, figured it was keeping things from rusting. Seeing how quickly that Snap-on gummed up makes me wonder how many of mine are sitting in the toolbox with the same problem.
