Honestly, my local news page got flagged as spam for a week because I posted about a car crash too fast

Typing too fast is the new crime, I guess.

Yeah, it's that "suspicious activity" flagging everywhere now. My smart lock froze me out for typing the code too fast, said it was a break in attempt. The tech just assumes you're a bot first.

Oh man, I feel that. I once got a temporary ban for "suspicious activity" because I posted three yard sale signs in my neighborhood group in one day. The algorithm just saw a bunch of similar posts and decided I was a robot spammer, not just a guy really trying to sell an old lawnmower. It's like they punish you for actually using the site.

My cousin in Phoenix got her account locked for posting four lost dog flyers last month. The systems are built to catch the worst case, so normal people get caught in the net. I'd rather deal with a short ban than have my feed flooded with actual bot scams all day. They need to fix the false positives, but I get why the filters exist.
