My video about a local zoning fight got stuck at 200 views for a month

I posted a detailed breakdown of a city council vote, but the algorithm seemed to ignore it because I didn't use trending audio or a flashy hook. It finally started getting pushed out after a local news account shared a clip, which took about 35 days total. Does the algorithm really need a bigger account to validate a topic before it spreads?

Look at the numbers from my own channel. I posted a dry explainer on the new county landfill fees. It got maybe 150 views in two weeks, then slowly climbed to 20k over the next month without any big account sharing it. The algorithm does test content with small groups first. If those people watch the whole video and share it, it gets a bigger push. Your video might have just needed more time to find its specific audience who cared about zoning.

Yeah, my buddy's video sat dead until a bigger page boosted it.
