Tested posting at lunch hours vs late night for 2 weeks straight
Lunch posts got triple the engagement across Instagram and TikTok even with way less effort in the caption. Has anyone else seen a big difference with timing like this?

That's a pretty small sample size though, right? Two weeks isn't really enough to nail down a pattern. Engagement could've been up just because of random luck or trending hashtags that day. Lunchtime is also when everyone's zoning out at work and scrolling, so they're tapping like crazy without actually caring about the content. Late night is when people actually pay attention and might save or share stuff for later. If you optimize just for quick taps at lunch, you'll probably burn out your audience with low quality posts that don't stick.

Laughing at the idea of "zoning out at work" like that's some rare event and not the default state for 90% of office workers. Sam's over here acting like saving a post at 2am is some deep meaningful experience when really it's just people with insomnia doomscrolling under the covers. I'd rather have the triple taps at lunch than two loyal fans who might share my stuff after their third cup of coffee.

Oh boy, been there. I tested posting at totally random times for a month and found lunch breaks actually worked way worse for me. My 2am posts got crazy save rates, like 3x more than lunch posts. People actually read them instead of just tapping. I figured out my audience was night owls, not break scrollers. Took a few weeks of trial and error to see the pattern though, not just two days.
