Binged all 12 episodes of that new isekai in one sitting and hated myself after

I saw everyone hyping up that new isekai about the guy who gets reincarnated as a vending machine, so I gave it a shot last Saturday. Figured I'd watch two episodes but ended up burning through the whole season in about 5 hours straight. My back hurt from sitting weird on the couch and I barely remembered half the plot by the end. Did anyone else feel like the pacing was way off after the first few episodes?

The pacing definitely fell apart around episode 4 or 5. That whole arc with the magical item shop felt like it was just padding to hit the 12 episode mark. What was the deal with the super overpowered sword that got introduced and then never used again? Did you catch that or was I just zoning out by that point?

Totally agree that the magical item shop arc felt like filler, I actually read an interview with one of the writers who admitted they had to stretch the story out because the studio wanted 12 episodes instead of the original 10. So that explains the padding, I guess. The overpowered sword thing was weird too, I heard on a podcast that it was supposed to be a Chekhov's gun for the finale but got cut for time. Which is a shame because it could've been cool, but they just shoved it in and forgot about it. Makes you wonder how much better it would've been with a tighter script.

Wait, was it 12 episodes instead of 10? I thought the original order was 13 and they had to cut it down to 10, unless I'm mixing up shows again.
