Can we talk about pacing in the new isekai trend?

I've watched 14 isekai shows since January and the fast-paced ones with 12 episodes beat the slow-burn 24 episode ones every time. Re:Zero season 3 dragged hard in episode 7 but something like Eminence in Shadow keeps me glued because it never wastes a scene. Why do studios think padding with filler chats is better than just cutting to the action? Has anyone else dropped a show on Crunchyroll just because of pacing?

wait, are you really counting Crunchyroll drops as a pacing metric though? like Re:Zero s3 ep 7 was a heavy dialogue episode but that series always pays off slow build with massive payoff later, while Eminence is just constant hype with zero weight behind it. honestly the 12 vs 24 ep thing is kinda backwards too, since most 12 ep isekai rush their endings and cut whole arcs, which feels worse than a slow burn that actually lands. the real issue is studios adapting light novels without knowing what to cut, so you get either filler chat or rushed action, not really a clean fast vs slow thing.
