Crunchyroll stream tanked during the season finale last night

I was watching the last episode of that mecha show everyone is hyped about, and the stream dropped to 240p around 11:45 PM EST. It froze for like 6 minutes right at the big fight scene, then jumped ahead and spoiled the ending. I tried refreshing on my phone and laptop, both did the same thing. Anyone else have Crunchyroll fall apart during a big release, or is it just my luck in Chicago?

Funny, my stream was flawless at that exact time and I'm also on the east coast, just not in Chicago. Maybe it's a regional thing with your ISP routing or something, but I've had way worse luck with Netflix during their big drops. Crunchyroll's been pretty solid for me lately, and I watched that same fight scene without a single buffer. It's easy to blame the platform when it's probably just Comcast having a bad night in your area.
