Finally watching subbed instead of dubbed - night and day difference
Tbh I used to only watch dubbed anime because I thought I'd miss stuff reading subtitles. Last month I gave Attack on Titan a try in Japanese with subs and I caught way more emotion in the voice acting. Now I'm 15 episodes into season 2 and I can't go back. Anyone else make the switch and feel like they're watching a totally different show?

Oh man, I gotta disagree with you here. I've watched both for years and I honestly think good dubs can match the original voice acting just fine. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood's English cast absolutely nails it, especially Vic Mignogna as Ed and Travis Willingham as Armstrong. I actually find myself missing visual details when I'm reading subs, and some jokes and cultural references just hit different when they're localized properly in a dub.

Wait, did you just say Vic Mignogna was the English voice of Ed in Brotherhood? That's actually Ed's voice actor from the 2003 series and the first Brotherhood dub that got redone. The Brotherhood broadcast dub for Ed was done by Maxey Whitehead for the whole run. Vic did great work as Ed for the original show, but Maxey really grew into the role over 64 episodes. Easy mix-up though since Vic's so iconic as Edward.
