Got called out by a 16-year-old for fast-forwarding intro sequences

I always skip anime intros thinking they waste time. But last week at a con panel this kid says I'm missing the whole point. He showed me how Trigger actually hides easter eggs in their intros that foreshadow the whole season. Now I watch every opening once at least, especially on rewatches. Anybody else change how they watch intros after someone called them out?

Honestly, is it really that serious? People act like missing a hidden detail in an intro ruins the whole show, but I'm just trying to get to the actual story. I'll still skip most of them and just live with the mystery.

@harperp24 Right? It's an intro, not a treasure map, people act like it's life or death.
