Got called out for spoiling a show in a thread about 'Attack on Titan'
I posted a big theory about the ending in a general chat last year, and someone replied 'Dude, some of us are only on season 2, put that in a spoiler thread.' I felt like a real jerk and now I always check the thread title and use tags. How do you handle spoilers when you're deep into a show and want to talk about it?

Ugh, my friend did that with a huge "Game of Thrones" death. He just blurted it out in our group chat, and this one guy who was binge-watching lost his mind. He had to buy him a six-pack as an apology. Now we all just text each other directly if we're at different points in a show.

What about shows that drop all at once? Do you guys have a grace period before you can chat about it in the group?

That "text each other directly" rule is a lifesaver. My old group chat was a minefield before we figured that out. Someone spoiled a huge twist in a show I was two episodes from finishing. It totally deflated the whole build-up. Now we just ask "where are you at?" before saying anything big. It's a tiny bit of work that saves a lot of hurt feelings.
